Been a loooong time

...for that, I'm very sorry.  A lot has happened and just couldn't get myself to keep posting.  My family back in the US has internet again, though!  So hopefully I'll be able to get back to teaching then Norwegian before they come over to visit us  ( no set date on that, still in the planning phase with it being so expensive ).

Seems like a lot has happened with this blog site, one big thing being the merge with Google...so that took some time in working out, trying to figure out which email this was set to.

I've been seeing two Psychiatric nurses and have appointments with a Physiotherapist currently but I'm not sure just how long this will be going on.

This blog will still be used for language but I feel it may be the best place to also talk about some of the things I've been going through with the lessons from my doctors just because it's part of what this blog was planned to be for at the start.  Somewhere to tell my story and hopefully some of those that see it will see that they aren't alone and maybe have something to learn from it.

In other news, I have another blog in the works for something completely different.  While I'm waiting on my co-host for the Youtube channel, I've been trying to get back into writing again.  I will be posting a link here once the writing part is all planned out.  The theme for it will mainly be about gaming of many different kinds as well as a place to update about my channel.

Until then.

Pictures

Since I haven't had time to do another post and seem to be getting busier, I may not be able to do these posts as often as I would like ( original plan being every three to four days making a new post ).

I'm going to see about posting other things like pictures I've taken while here as well as putting up some general info about the country...when I get a chance. Here's a couple of pictures I took when we had some snow around here.

Alfabetet ( Alphabet )

Note: Now keep in mind some of these will be hard to explain through typing it up here, so I wouldn't mind reading it out to you ( my little sisters, that, keep in mind, this whole blog is for ) next time we get to talk.

Alfabetet

A ah

B beh

C seh

D deh

E eh

F eff

G geh

H (Think of saying 'hoe' as in garden hoe )

I i ( Think of the word 'tea'. The long 'e' sound is what you use here. )

J jeh ( Think of placing a 'y' where the 'j' is and that's the sound you should make. Yeh )

K ( Think of saying 'ko' )

L el

M em

N en

O o ( Think of saying 'Oh' )

P peh

Q ku

R ær ( It's basically the same as how we say the letter, but roll the 'r' when you say it )

es

T te

U u ( Think of the sound 'oooooo' )

ve

W dobbel-ve

X eks

Y y

Z set

Æ æ

Ø ø

Å å

Now, those last three and the ones with an 'e' sound can get confusing and tough to say, but you have a lot of people that can help you with this. So don't sweat the small stuff. :)

So I finally get around to it....but there's a catch.

Yes, I finally decided what to do with this blog. I made this some time ago without any idea of what to do...and so left it blank until now. After speaking to my mother on the phone ( I live in a different country than her ), I've decided to use this blog mainly to help teach her and my sisters Norwegian. See, my husband is Norwegian and for some time, my family has taken an interest getting to know what his country and language is like. ....so...here we go. If this may help anyone else to learn the language a bit, that would be pretty cool, but just so those that read this blog understand: I'm writing this in a way that my family can understand. With how we speak in the Southern states, words do sound differently.
